McEwen Lumber Company was founded in 1899 in Asheville, North Carolina and the High Point Branch was opened in 1923 operating as headquarters for the entire company. The acquisition of McEwen Lumber by Hood Industries has allowed us to more efficiently service our customers in the High Point area. Some of these customers include high-end architectural millwork operations, cabinet shops, retail lumber dealers, and specialty wood shops. By operating as Hood Distribution, the High Point Branch continues to fulfill its commitments to the end-users and retailers who demand the highest quality product and superior service.
