General Characteristics

African Mahogany is also known as Khaya and grows in Africa. The color varies from a light to a dark reddish-brown, making it a great substitute for Honduras Mahogany. The grain is interlocked to straight, usually producing a “ribbon” appearance. The workability is great with excellent finishing properties.
