General Characteristics
Ponderosa Pine is a very stable wood and machines extremely well. It is lightweight with a straight grain and even texture.
The heartwood is brown to light tan, while the sapwood is white.
Typical Applications
Ponderosa Pine is used extensively in the millwork industry in the manufacture of wood
windows and doors. It is also a very popular choice for moulding.
