No Black Line (NBL) Laminates
NBL laminates provide the custom woodworker with superior flexibility and performance when compared to other wood-backed products.
NBL laminate's patented 3-ply construction produces an extremely pliable, moisture-resistant sheet without the black edge associated with phenolic and foil backers.
- Offers a patented multi-ply construction, including an internal moisture barrier
- Tenderized to bend and wrap a tight radius
- Parallel grains provide balanced construction for flat storage and easy post forming

Duraback™ Hardwood Veneer
DuraBack™ is extremely bendable, unlike standard laminate backers.
DuraBack™ hardwood veneer can be prefinished and may be used where solvent-based adhesive restrictions require woodworkers to use water-based glues.

Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) Veneer Sheets
PSA Hardwood Veneer provides a simple and easy alternative for applying veneer without the need for a secondary adhesive. This peel & stick veneer provides a permanent bond to virtually any smooth substrate that is dry and free of dust and contaminants.
- Partnered with the quality of the 3M® peel and stick adhesive backing, our PSA veneer is backed to provide excellent flexibility
- PSA Veneer Sheets are the perfect choice for cabinet refacing, home craftsmen, and professional woodworkers

2-Ply Hardwood Veneer
2-Ply hardwood veneer has a perpendicular face-to-back construction utilizing a thin acrylic membrane to provide protection against bubbling, glue seepage, and telegraphing.
The crossband construction allows the 2-Ply veneer to bend on moderate curves in the horizontal or vertical direction.
- Pre-sanded and tenderized
- Mitigates bubbling and telegraphing
- Dimensional stability in flat and curved applications
- Stocked in basic species; exotic and special order species
- No phenolic or foil backer lines

Edgebanding
Wood Veneer Edgebanding
Wood Veneer Edgebanding is produced by joining individual pieces of veneer together into a continuous master roll by finger-jointing the veneer. The rolls are laminated with fleece, then sanded and slit to finished widths.
Automatic (Non-Glued) Fleece Backed Wood Veneer Edgebanding
- 7/8″ x 500′ rolls with a thickness of .022″ sanded to 180 grit.
- Weight 3.5 lbs. Per roll @ 7/8"
- Packaging standard - 5 rolls per package
- Material should be stored in plastic wrap to ensure moisture stability (reducing moisture loss)
Availability
Alder, Birch, Cherry, Hickory, Mahogany, Maple, Red Oak, Sapele, and Walnut edgebanding are readily available in our branches. Other species and widths are available through our special order quick-ship program.
Pre-glued Fleece Backed Wood Veneer Edgebanding
- 13/16″ x 250′ rolls with a thickness of .034″ (based on .012” of hot melt) sanded to 180 grit.
- Weight 2.5 lbs. Per roll @ 13/16"
- Packaging standard - 5 rolls per package
- Material should be stored in plastic wrap to ensure moisture stability (reducing moisture loss)
Pre-finished Automatic (Non-Glued) Wood Veneer Edgebanding
- 7/8″ x 500′ rolls with a thickness of .020″
- Gloss level between 20 and 30 (satin finish) is standard
- UV lacquer finish at 1.5 mils in coverage
- Material should be stored in plastic wrap to ensure moisture stability (reducing moisture loss)
Polyester/PVC Edgebanding
Polyester/PVC edgebanding provides that finished look to institutional casework and European-style cabinetry.Availability
Colored polyester/PVC edgebanding is either pre-glued or automatic (non-glued) and is available in rolls to match the majority of the standard melamine colors.
Special order is available for non-traditional colors.
Veneered Panels
Custom Architectural Panels
A state-of-the-art plywood facility is available to laminate high-quality veneer to a myriad of substrate offerings. This also allows the manufacture of small runs of material.
For most species, the minimum order requirement is only one panel. Architectural plywood is ideal for custom and high-end projects.
Hood Distribution and FormWood Industries are able to provide architectural plywood to your specifications:
- Sequencing and flitch matching create a similar look.
- Balance match and center-balance match are ideal for continuity in wall panels.
- End-matching can extend the visual length for use in tall wall panels or conference tables.
- Blueprint matching can tackle intricate jobs.
