The Louisville facility was Hood Industries’ first expansion branch following their acquisition of McEwen Lumber Company from International Paper Company back in 1995.
The Louisville branch opened in 1996 to serve the Hardwood Lumber & Plywood needs of architectural millwork houses, cabinet shops, and furniture producers in the Tri-State area of Kentucky, Indiana, and Southwest Ohio.
In 2006, we changed our name first to Hood Distribution/McEwen Group, and more recently to Hood Distribution Louisville, KY Branch. Our name may have changed, but our commitment to customer success remains.
In 2023, we consolidated our Hood Distribution and DSI Louisville locations under one roof at our new facility just north of the river. This move allows us to better serve our customers with an expanded inventory, improved logistics, and streamlined service—all in one convenient location.
The Louisville facility has grown to be the premier Architectural Building Products supplier in the Tri-State area thanks to our customers’ loyal support.
