General Characteristics
Sinker Cypress is cut from logs that were felled but then sunk to the bottom of a river or lake. These logs are recovered from under the water, usually after the sapwood has rotted away, leaving only the heartwood.
The heartwood is reddish-brown in color and resists the elements very well.
Typical Applications
Sinker Cypress is an excellent choice for exterior applications such as bevel siding. Its natural color bears a striking resemblance to Teak.
