General Characteristics

Radiata Pine is a softwood tree; however, it is harder (denser) than several hardwood species.

The tree is native to the United States.

However, Radiata Pine is now more widely known to be an import wood versus being sawn and distributed domestically.

Typical Applications

Radiata Pine is used extensively for mouldings, shelving, and interior trim boards as it paints very well.
